Mastodon

I only had my iphone but I wanted a pic of one of my favorite bands.  This band, on rental gear, was as great as I have ever seen them.  Mastodon and Torche are my favorite bands from the heavier realm, these days.  I wish a tour with them would happen.

I have an idea.

I thought I would start writing on this again.  I am about to go on tour and I always find myself bored out of my mind, so here it goes.

First thing I wanted to say is, my friends and I have put up a new myspace page for a performance that happened back in Feb.  It was Cedric, Adrian, Money Mark and myself playing a couple of my ideas and a jacked up version of Naima (Adrian’s idea).  Adrian and $ play great, Cedric and I had our moments but we were also a little deer in the headlights.  Here is the link-

You can also view some youtube of me demonstrating some crazy new pedals.  My inspiration for this was spurned out of my insomnia driven 3am youtube searches for new pedals.  Of course, most of these youtubes are of guitarists demonstrating their use.  I felt it would be helpful if I showed what some pedals would sound like with bass.

It should be a great tour.  Playing a lot of old stuff so I decided to bring my oldest bass out.

Back to basics here.  That last attempt was not going to work.  I really want to find a way I can practice writing and not have to worry about comments.  I just want to write.  

 

I wonder when the U.S. is going to jump in to this drug war going on in Mexico.  Its apparent to me that the Mexican government is losing this battle and since it is so close to our borders, it’s only a matter of time.  Let’s see what Barrack has to say about this.
